Hi! I’m Michelle.
I’m an Online holistic nutritionist & self-proclaimed gut health & DETOX warrior.
Just a few short years ago (and amidst my first years of motherhood, no less), a gut illness nearly took my life.
It took several years, tens of thousands of dollars, dozens of tests, specialists, many conventional and holistic practitioners and reaching a point of near sepsis before I finally found someone who could ultimately help me find the cause of my suffering.
Through this experience, I saw just how difficult it was to uncover the root cause of my condition and to begin reversing the damage that was done.
With patience, persistence and by the grace of some sort of higher power, I not only survived, but I discovered some incredible tools that would change the health of not only myself, but my family, friends and clients.
Once upon a time, I desperately bought every health book out there, watched all the shows and online summits, and spent hours on the Internet researching the right foods for my body. I felt the tremendous burden of having to figure it all out on my own as my symptoms slowly worsened. I wish that desperate, lonely feeling upon no one, and it’s a huge reason this program exists today.

A little more about me:
I was looking for more than a quick fix. I wanted to help people make changes in a big way.
This happened for me when I attended NutraPhoria School of Holistic Nutrition. I was always interested in health, but when I graduated as a Holistic Nutritionist, I wanted to create a program that would help people take small steps towards lifelong, sustainable change.
But in the midst of my studies, I got sick AF. I never planned on being the “gut health girl,” but I suppose you could say this path was chosen for me after I realized just how little support there is out there for the tremendous amount of people currently facing gut related issues. I felt a huge need to create the exact resource that I wish I had when I was in the thick of it.

Session one: Welcome + Program Overview + Diet + Toxicity
Welcome to the program! In our first session, we’ll review our schedule, we’ll discuss how the program will run, and we’ll also have a look at the meal plan as we go over tips that can help you achieve the best success through our time together. We’ll dive into the mindset piece of creating sustainable change, and the reasons that many programs do NOT facilitate lasting results. I’ll share more about how to start giving your kitchen a facelift, and we’ll dive deeper into the topic of food allergies and sensitivities that could be creating persistent, low-grade inflammation in the body. We’ll also talk about gut health and toxicity, and how the two go hand-in-hand. I’ll share some of my favourite self-care & advanced tools to reduce toxicity, and how you can find the best probiotics, prebiotics & gut-lovin’ foods to support you in every step of your health journey! Session two: Understanding your Body + You are what you Eat
In week two, you’ll learn all about food combining, achieving acid/alkaline balance for optimal health, understanding your poop, why and how to consume mono meals and smoothies, and how you can eat to support liver health (Did you know that the liver is our prime detox organ, and has over 560 functions in the body?) We’ll discuss the impact of various grains (including everything you need to know about gluten), phytic acid, “The Carb Complex,” and how to curb sugar cravings. We’ll discuss fats & clean protein options, and even caffeine! You can do a happy dance, because in this session, we’re also going to simplify the confusion about which supplements can support and hinder our health!

In week three, we’ll dive deep into the autonomic nervous system and how stress and anxiety can be directly linked to the gut. WILL I BE STARVING?
Not at all! There are recipes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there is room for snacks in between. Every meal is delicious and created with a fabulous chef to nourish your body from the inside out. This program is not about starvation or deprivation, and we are not counting calories or dwelling on carbs. You will feel satisfied with every bite. If you do get hungry, there are extra snack recipes included!
CAN I STILL WORKOUT DURING THE PROGRAM?
Please workout during the program! If you feel tired or have low energy, exercising restores both strength and energy. During this program, you will be eating protein and drinking plenty of liquids, so if you’re already exercising, there’s no reason to stop! It is important to remember that whenever you change the foods you eat your body changes as well, and that not all forms of exercise will work for you. That’s okay, and we totally discuss this in the program.

DO I HAVE TO TAKE SUPPLEMENTS, PILLS, AND POWDERS?
Not in this program! The only supplement I recommend that everyone take on a daily basis is a probiotic, and you’ll learn all of the details about it (which probiotics I recommend, how much to take, etc) in this program. BTW - You can also get your probiotics from food if you don’t dig poppin’ pills. :)
Please consult with your doctor regarding any supplements and do not adjust your current medications unless recommended by your doctor.
CAN I DO THIS IF I’M NURSING OR PREGNANT?
If you are nursing, I suggest that you add consume enough protein per the recommendations of mothering.com, kellymom.com and always, always check with your doctor. All meals are loaded with protein, healthy vegetables and there are snacks provided. Make sure you are consuming extra fat and drinking enough liquids.

WILL I FEEL WEAK DURING THE PROGRAM?
The goal is to help you feel strong and energized! In the beginning, your body may go through a “detox phase” to re-balance and let go of unwanted bacteria as you balance your digestion. You may also experience withdrawal from caffeine, or sugar if you are reducing or eliminating your intake during this time. It is important to listen to your body through this program, and I will be here to support you with that. I will guide you step by step through exactly what can be done to reduce any unwanted symptoms that may appear. This program is completely flexible for figuring out what works for YOU!
I DON’T EAT GLUTEN OR DAIRY. IS THIS RIGHT FOR ME?
None of the recipes provided have gluten or dairy. I do talk about cultured foods such as Kefir but also give options for those who cannot tolerate dairy. There is ZERO gluten in this program.
WHAT SIDE EFFECTS MIGHT I EXPERIENCE?
Some people go through this program and feel nothing but energized, while others may feel tired or light-headed as their bodies eliminate and let go of unnecessary toxins. Yeast (candida) alone releases upwards of 76 toxins into the blood when it dies! The experience will differ from one person to the next, but the program is designed with that in mind, and you’ll have access to all the tools you need to help keep any unwanted symptoms at bay.
